Make a visit of it
The 1750s home of Rufus King, one of the last Founding Fathers to oppose slavery. The house and its story feel like a hidden chapter of American history. Set inside King Park, a pleasant green space in downtown Jamaica. Far from the tourist circuit, which is the point.
After: Bab Al-Yemen (Yemeni, $10-16). 89-18 Jamaica Ave, 5 min walk. Incredible Yemeni food including lamb haneeth and chicken mandi. Jamaica's global food scene is the real attraction.
