Whitney free admission: Fridays, Sundays and age 25 and under
Whitney has three different routes to free admission: Friday evenings for everyone, the second Sunday of each month for everyone, and regular admission for visitors age 25 and under. The age offer is not limited to the Friday or monthly Sunday window. Tickets are still required.

For an adult group with different ages, choose an all-visitor free Friday evening or second Sunday. If everyone is 25 or younger, check ordinary opening hours for another day. Being a student is not the same condition as being 25 or under; an older student should use the museum’s applicable ticket category.

Choose the correct date and free ticket category on Whitney’s official site. A calculated Friday or second-Sunday date below is not a seat reservation. If your preferred visit is unavailable, compare MoMA’s resident-only Friday offer before deciding whether that is a useful alternative.
