Make a visit of it
First Saturdays have live DJs, dancing, and a bar in the Great Hall -- it's basically a party in a museum. The Egyptian galleries on the 3rd floor are always empty, even on First Saturdays.
After: Cheryl's Global Soul (global comfort food, $14-22). Underhill Ave, 10 min walk. Mac and cheese is legendary. BYOB and they don't rush you.
