Massive converted iron works factory. The Second Sundays parties (monthly, free) have live music, DJs, food, art, and science demos -- it's the best free event in Brooklyn. The garden and radio station are worth exploring.
After: Red Hook Lobster Pound (seafood shack, $16-28). Van Brunt St. Connecticut-style lobster roll (warm butter, no mayo). Eat on the sidewalk.
