Make a visit of it
The permanent collection on the 4th floor traces 4,000 years of Jewish culture and art -- it's dense but the audio guide is excellent. The temporary exhibitions are consistently some of the best-curated on Museum Mile.
After: Russ & Daughters Cafe (Jewish deli, $16-24). Worth the trip to the LES location on Orchard St for the full experience. Or hit the UWS outpost at the Jewish Museum's neighbor-ish zone.
