Make a visit of it

Housed in a gorgeous 1881 Queen Anne Revival building on one of Brooklyn's prettiest blocks. The exhibitions on Brooklyn history are sharp and well-curated. The Othmer Library has archives going back to the 1600s. Also has a space in DUMBO at Empire Stores.

After: Henry's End (American, $16-32). Henry St, 5 min walk. Brooklyn Heights institution since 1973. Wild game festival in winter. Cozy, excellent wine list.
