Multiple art organizations have permanent spaces on the island -- LMCC Arts Center, Nolan Park houses, and rotating installations across the grounds. The Hills have the best Manhattan skyline views you'll ever see. Bring a bike (or rent one on the island).
After: Island Oyster (seafood/bar, $10-22). On Governors Island itself. Oysters, beer, and harbor views. Open seasonally alongside the island.
