Make a visit of it
A reconstructed 1699 Dutch farmhouse in the middle of a public park. The Battle of Brooklyn happened on this site in 1776. Now it shows contemporary art alongside the historical exhibits. The surrounding Washington Park has bocce courts and a playground.
After: Runner & Stone (bakery/restaurant, $10-22). 3rd Ave at 3rd St, same block. House-milled bread, excellent brunch, and a pastry case that'll slow you down.
