Make a visit of it
The boathouse building is a 1905 Beaux-Arts gem on the Lullwater. Free Discovery Packs include binoculars, field guides, and nature journals. The surrounding woods feel genuinely wild. In spring, the bird watching here rivals anything outside the city.
After: Café Regular du Nord (French cafe, $4-8). Berkeley Pl in Park Slope, 10 min walk. Tiny, charming, excellent coffee. Standing room mostly. Very European.
