Make a visit of it
The building is the best piece in the collection: the 1993 Vito Acconci and Steven Holl facade is made of pivoting concrete-board panels that swing open in warm weather, dissolving the wall between gallery and sidewalk. Visit on a nice day to see it fully open.
After: Cafe Habana (restaurant, $). Grilled corn and Cuban sandwiches at Prince and Elizabeth, two blocks north -- a Nolita institution that has stayed cheap-ish.
