The Morgan Library & Museum is free on Friday 5pm–8pm. Free Fridays 5-8pm for everyone. Separate free historic-library-only access Tuesdays and Sundays 3-5pm excludes special exhibitions.

J.P. Morgan's original private library is the showpiece -- a triple-height room with Renaissance paintings on the ceiling and 3 tiers of rare books. Stand in the middle and look up. The Gutenberg Bibles are in the vault.
